Our Services

Supercomputer System demands two services: Basic Service and Computational Service.

Basic Service（Mail Server, Web Server, File Server）

This is the necessary service to being Supercomputer System's user. We call you "SCL user".

SCL user is given SCL account "username" and e-mail address "username@scl.kyoto-u.ac.jp".
SCL user may open your Web site by using File Server.
The URL for Web site is "http://www.scl.kyoto-u.ac.jp/~username".

If you delete your SCL account or keep your SCL account for next school year, you must submit an usage report what is called "Riyou Kekka Houkoku Sho (利用結果報告書)" to SCL.

Computational Service

This is an optional service. You may login the computational server "UV1000" after being permitted to make use of computational service.

Many applications such as Gaussian, Forcite, CASTEP, DMol3 etc.and programming environment are provided on "UV1000".

If you delete your SCL account or keep your SCL account for next school year, you must submit an research report what is called "Kenkyu Seika Houkoku Sho (研究成果報告書)" to SCL.

Time limit for SCL account is the end of the school year, March. If you want to keep your SCL account for next school year, you must apply to SCL for "Keep SCL account".

If you don't apply, your account and your files will be deleted at next school year.

If you submit research results with computational service to journals, reports and so on, please add the following acknowledgment in the paper.
