Long-range Density Fluctuations in Supercooled Liquids
Viscous liquids like supercooled glass-forming materials and molten polymers often show the so-called long-range density fluctuations or  Fischer cluster with correlation length of several hundreds nm.  This long-range density fluctuations are causes of turbidity because of the size comparable with visible light.  We are studying the long-range density fluctuations by means of static and dynamic light scattering.

Formation process of Fischer cluster after T-jump from 120 C to 40 C.   In case of PMpTS it takes ~35 hour at 35 C.
Ultra-slow process is accompanies Fisher cluster.  The correlation time is longer than the ?-process by several order of magnitude.

Origin: It is considered that Fischer cluster is originated from percolation of quasi-stable solid-like phase below a critical temperature TA.
