General Information

The 2nd Seminar of International Core-to-Core Project on Nano Carbon Device Science at Kyoto

Date: 4th–6th October, 2023

Venue: Kihada Hall, Obaku Plaza, Uji Campus, Kyoto University
https://www.kyoto-u.ac.jp/ja/about/facilities/campus/uji-obaku-plaza

Purpose of Seminar: π-Conjugated compounds are key materials in the development of future organic optoelectronic materials because of their fascinating functions such as electrical conductivity, optical absorption, and luminescence. In order to develop photoelectronic organic materials that will support the next generation society, it is essential to search for innovative new compounds as well as to integrate concepts of new organic synthesis and device fabrication. In this program, active research groups in Japan, the U.K., Canada, and Germany will form an international research center for the creation of novel carbon nanomolecules and their application to materials. The second International Seminar on this project will be held in Kyoto, 2023.

The 2nd International Seminar is sponsored by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Core-to-Core Program (grant number: JPJSCCA20220004).
